Jomarie Garcia is Verisk 3E’s lead North America regulatory research expert. In this capacity, Ms. Garcia plays a significant role assessing statutes and regulations pertaining to the U.S. and Canada. Her core expertise includes chemical management and food contact materials legislations. Ms. Garcia serves as an internal liaison for translating regulatory data into accurate content for Verisk 3E’s flagship products Insight for Chemicals and Insight for Food. Likewise, Ms. Garcia utilizes her legal training to provide consulting services to businesses considering entry into the North American market. These services are wide-ranging in scope and include conducting regulatory compliance checks for consumer products, safety data sheets, and food contact materials, among others. She is an interdisciplinary professional licensed to practice law before the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and U.S. Court of International Trade. Prior to joining Verisk 3E, Ms. Garcia gained work experience as a scientist and advisor for business solutions related to U.S. import/export activities with several governmental authorities, including the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and the Embassy of Spain.
