Stephen Klump
Stephen Klump is Nestlé’s Senior Expert in Packaging Food Safety, has more 13 years’ experience in packaging food safety, and earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Ohio State University in the US.
After several years working in the chemicals industry and a transitional role in the beverage industry, Dr Klump moved to Nestlé. During his time with Nestlé, Stephen worked at several Nestlé locations, including the Nestlé Research Center in Lausanne Switzerland, developing analytical methods to test for migrants from packaging materials. Following, Dr Klump supported packaging safety for Nestlé at a zone/regional level and now at the global level. He's currently based in Marysville Ohio in the USA.
In addition, Dr Klump is the current Executive Chair of the Food Safety Alliance for Packaging (FSAP), a food packaging industry group dedicated to raising awareness about food packaging safety. The FSAP is a technical committee of the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP).
