Head Product Policy, EuroCommerce
Els Bedert is Head Product Policy at EuroCommerce, the European voice for retail and wholesale. She started her career in development cooperation in the field of food security in Eastern and Southern Africa. In 2011 she moved to the European Commission’s Directorate for Enlargement as a team leader in the Institution Building Unit organising assistance on EU law on agriculture, veterinary, phytosanitary and food safety to candidate countries.
In 2012, she joined EuroCommerce, initially with a focus on food policy and since 2016 non-food products policy, including chemicals.
