Laurens works for the European Consumer Organisation, BEUC, the umbrella group of 45+ independent consumer organisations from 30+ countries. BEUC’s daily work involves making sure the EU takes policy decisions that improve the lives of consumers. The acronym BEUC originates from the organisation’s French name: Bureau Européen des Unions de Consommateurs.
