Managing the regulation of food contact materials

Gyöngyi Dávid focuses her practice on EU regulatory compliance in the field of chemicals, food and environmental law. On chemicals she has experience advising clients on REACH and CLP regulations. On product regulations she focuses on pesticides, biocides, food contact materials, RoHS2 & WEEE, medical devices, cosmetics, Eco-design, waste, and end-of-life legislation.

Gyöngyi has advised clients in compliance of food contact materials with EU and national legislation, composition and assessment of food and cosmetic products – including the analysis of borderline products – and the marketing of food products in multiple European countries. Some examples in the food area include: - advice on the composition, labeling and placing on the market in the several Member States of the EU of food supplements; - review of health and nutrition claims and advertising of foods, functional foods and feed in the EU; - interpretation of Food Information of Consumers Regulation with particular emphasis on nano food additives.
