Tom Griffiths
Tom has a BSc in Management and Chemistry from the University of Manchester and a MSc in Environmental Consultancy from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Tom is an environmental and sustainability professional with over 20 years’ experience in the field and is the head of the Ramboll UK and Ireland Industrial Health Sciences team. Within the role he leads a team of regulatory scientists and experts in delivering complex projects in the area of product stewardship and sustainability, supporting large multi-national companies across a number of different sectors, including but not limited to pharmaceuticals, medical devices, manufacturing, oil and gas, and automotive, to meet their obligations under REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals), CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging), and other EU and worldwide chemical legislation.
Tom’s recent focus has been on the impacts risk management measures, such as Authorization and Restriction, have on companies operating in the EU and UK, with a particular focus on emerging chemicals of concern, such as PFAS. As part of this work Tom is a member of the Ramboll Health Sciences Spearhead that is developing strategies to address the proposed PFAS Restriction.
Before joining Ramboll in 2023 I have previously worked in consultancy, industry, and trade associations.
