Steve Caldeira
Steve was named President & CEO of the Household & Commercial Products Association in December 2016. As President & CEO, Steve works closely with the HCPA Board of Directors to set and execute the strategic priorities of the association, and has more than three decades experience working with legislative, regulatory, political, media relations, public affairs, fundraising, corporate and not-for-profit trade associations.
Prior to joining HCPA, Steve was President & CEO of the International Franchise Association, where he was credited with growing revenue by over 70%, doubling funding for its political action committee to nearly $1.3 million, vastly increasing the organisation’s profile through all forms of media, including print, online and broadcast TV, while significantly expanding its advocacy footprint and impact at all levels of government.
For his efforts in addressing such matters as Affordable Health Care Act changes, wage laws that discriminate against small business franchise owners, and workforce policies proposed by the National Labor Relations Board and the Department of Labor, Mr Caldeira has been named a “Top Lobbyist” multiple times (including 2018) by The Hill, and multiple times a “Top Power & Influence Trade Association CEO” by CEO Update magazine.
Steve graduated from Providence College in Providence, RI with a B.A. in Political Science.
