Maciej Baranski
Team Leader Support & Enforcement Unit, ECHA, Finland
Maciej has worked in authorities dealing with chemicals legislation for 17 years. He started in the Bureau for Chemical Substances, the Polish competent authority for chemicals and moved to the European Commission, working in the REACH unit of DG GROW.
He joined ECHA in 2007, and currently leads the team responsible for ECHA’s Enforcement Forum. He has broad experience with EU-level coordination of enforcement of REACH, CLP, BPR and PIC.
Maciej holds the MA in political philosophy and a BA in politics, philosophy and economics (PPE) from the University of York as well as a postgraduate diploma in European Integration from the University of Lodz.
