Sjef studied mechanical engineering and international business administration. He started his professional career in the European Parliament as a policy advisor for internal market and legal affairs. After various international sales and marketing positions in the water treatment industry, he joined Brenntag in 2013 in a European business development role responsible for the commercialisation of a proprietary chlorine dioxide technology and its registration under the BPR.
