Dirk Jepsen
Dirk is an economic engineer by education and the executive director of Ökopol. Besides strategic and conceptual advice for all fields of the institute’s activities, he is as a team leader involved in the project work and high level consultancy services concerning resource efficiency, environmentally sound products and chemicals policy.
Previously, Dirk has worked for many different clients on the issue of implementing a more circular economy. The wide range of respective projects covered the perspective of product policy (=> circular design), the waste policy (=> improved treatment & recycling processes and respective business models for high quality recyclats) and the chemical policy (ensuring information availability for save secondary uses).
Currently he is the responsible project leader of the feasibility study on “Tools to manage information flows from product supply chains to waste operators” for DG Grow.
