IEC TC 111 - the electronics industry standards body
Earlier this year, Christophe Garnier, Global Environmental Standardization Manager, from Schneider Electric, joined Chemical Watch in Brussels for our Chemicals Management for the Electronics Industry conference, where he presented a session on the International Environmental Commission's Technical Communication (IEC TC) 111 on environmental standardisation for electrical and electronic products and systems.
Established in 2004 and now with a membership across 37 countries, IEC TC 111 has published 26 standards, including IEC 62474, which establishes a scheme for material/ composition declaration and declaration of compliance within the supply chain.
