Birgit Scholz completed a Master’s Degree in Nutritional Sciences and graduated with a PhD in Analytical Food Chemistry from the Technical University of Munich, where she subsequently started her professional career as post-doctoral researcher. In her studies she established chromatographic and mass spectrometric platforms to assess the quality and safety of bioactive ingredients of Novel Foods.

She joined Intertek as Regulatory Affairs Specialist for food contact materials. In this role she is preparing food contact notifications, assisting clients on global compliance paths and conducting regulatory training.
