Frineé Kathia Cano Robles
Frinee Cano has a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in Mexico. She then obtained a master's degree from Italy’s Universitá Ca'Foscari in Wastewater Management and Treatment. From 2009 to 2017, she held various positions at the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT) of Mexico, where she carried out various research projects on chemical substances (pesticides, flame retardants and heavy metals), electronic waste and climate change for the development of public policies. In 2017 she began her career at the Dutch fashion brand C&A as Sustainable Chemicals Manager in charge of the implementation of the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) program in Mexico through alliances with factories and verification organizations to comply with the brand’s commitments. She currently works as Environmental Initiatives Manager, addressing the implementation of the environmental strategy including chemical management, circularity, carbon footprint, waste management and water consumption reduction within the supply chain.
