Cherie Weible
Cherie Weible is Senior Director for Strategy and Global Affairs in the American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) Responsible Care and Sustainability unit. Cherie has expertise in government affairs, U.S. trade policy and commercial diplomacy. In her current role she develops and implements strategies to promote strong industry environment, health, safety and security practices and sound chemical management policies globally. Cherie also leads ACC’s engagement in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.
Cherie previously worked at the U.S. Department of Commerce where she led efforts to expand U.S. market access overseas and successfully facilitated billions of dollars in sales of U.S. products and services. Ms. Weible was a Wolcott Fellow at George Washington University from which she received a Master of Business Administration in International Business. Cherie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kent State University, where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.
