Claudia Alfaro
Lawyer specialized in Environmental and Regulatory Law, with an LL.M. in Environmental and Energy Law from New York University, and several Diplomas in related matters.
I have vast experience in strategic advice in the assessment of projects in the Environmental Impact Assessment System, administrative claims, claims before the Environmental Courts, audits and incentives for compliance, implementation of the EPR Law, among others. I also have extensive experience in drafting legal opinions, legal reports and presentations before sectorial authorities.
I currently work as Chief of Staff for the Regulatory Design and Deputy Chief of the Environmental Legislation and Regulation Department of the Ministry of Environment.
I am very interested in Circular Economy. Working at the law firm FerradaNehme, I collaborated for several years with the Circular Economy Roundtable of the Chilean American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Chile), and I currently teach in the Circular Economy Diploma at the University of Chile.
