Christian holds a PhD in chemistry and a certificate in toxicology and is employed at the Federal Office for Chemicals (German Competent Authority for REACH, Biocides, CLP and PIC regulations), in the unit “Evaluation of Chemicals and Risk Management”. Under REACH, his tasks encompass the coordination of processes like screening and substance evaluation. He is involved in the preparation of regulatory management options analyses and annex XV dossiers for SVHC identification and restriction.
Since 2017, Christian has been appointed as the Alternate German member in ECHA’s Member State Committee and he regularly participates in ECHA’s Endocrine Disruptors Expert Group.
