PFAS: Global Regulations, Restrictions and Alternatives

With Ionomr, Dr. Benjamin Britton is commercializing the first non-fluorinated or ‘hydrocarbon’ ion-exchange materials to directly or indirectly replace acidic fluoropolymers. He is a thought-leader in next-generation hydrogen, CCU, and energy-storage technologies, including supplying materials into the first AEM electrolysis systems to achieve the sizes, efficiencies, and lifetimes relevant to the clean energy transformation. Beginning his professional life in fluorochemistry in 2006, he came to realize the environmental dangers of PFAS materials and resolved to replace them with better technology.
