Global Food Contact Materials Regulations

Mr. Ioan Paraschiv, next to managing the capacity within FFCM Division, provides regulatory and technical support on registration of food contact materials (FCM) in EU, USA, China and Mercosur. He holds a PhD degree in Physical-Organic Chemistry from Wageningen University, the Netherlands.

Ms. Chiara Bandonision has work experiences in multinational companies (Food & Beverage, Packaging & Materials and Consultancy fields). She acquired transversal skills and knowledge in R&D and Innovation on the development of new products. Chiara has deep knowledge of development process from the concept to the launch to markets as well as ability to conduct global regulatory compliance assessments to ensure compliance of food contact materials.

Tina Robertson is a Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager, Food Contact Materials at knoell USA LLC, based out of Chicago. She provides regulatory support and to ensure compliance of food contact materials, reviews product compositions in accordance with global regulations, and prepares registration dossiers of food contact materials (FCM) in USA, EU, and Asia.

Liu Hui has over seven years of professional experience in Food Contact Materials (FCM) regulatory compliance, specializing in ensuring the compliance of food contact materials and articles. With extensive expertise in compliance review, regulatory strategy development, new substance notifications in China, and Asia-Pacific regulatory research (covering China, South Korea, Japan and ASEAN markets), she provides comprehensive regulatory solutions to help clients navigate complex compliance requirements and achieve smooth market access.

Ms. Friederike Danneberg is providing regulatory and technical support on food contact materials, her main focus being on EU, Switzerland and Mercosur. In her work, she provides regulatory support and reviews product compositions to ensure compliance of food contact materials. For EU REACH, she provides regulatory support to manufacturers and importers of substances as well as for downstream users, including producers and importers of articles. Via knoell academy, she is a highly experienced trainer for EU REACH trainings.

Mr. Alastair Mak is a board certified toxicologist. He provides toxicology expertise to regulatory and technical staff on client projects. As a toxicologist, he completes hazard and risk assessments for many products including food ingredients, food contact substances, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. Alastair has a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Univeristy of Toronto, where he specialized in immunotoxicology. He has an extensive background in food ingredient regulation and toxicology.
