Richard Bishop is Operations Director for TSG Europe, focusing on governance, compliance and delivery, and also helps businesses comply with chemicals regulations as a Principal Consultant on TSG's Chemical Compliance, Stewardship and Sustainability (CCSS) team. Prior to joining TSG, Richard was a Principal Inspector at the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). He created and led the Chemicals Regulation Division (CRD) Enforcement Team and was a former UK representative and Chair of the ECHA Enforcement Forum.

Charmaine is Head of Content (Events) for Chemical Watch Events & Training by Enhesa, leading the development and execution of content strategy across global conferences. Previously, as well as market intelligence roles at consultancies AMI and Zenith Global, she has worked in industry including Danone and Amcor.

Ian Cousins is Professor of Environmental Chemistry at the Department of Environmental Science at Stockholm University in Sweden. His research has recently focused on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Wojtek is a Policy Officer at the European Commission, working on the implementation of environmental legislation. Currently, he is member of the team responsible for the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) and is focusing on aspects related to Substances of Concern.

Since January 2020, Aleksandra Małyska has been a Policy Officer at the European Commission, focusing on the implementation of the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability, safe and sustainable chemicals, R&I, chemicals indicators, and sustainable finance.

Laia Pérez Simbor, a Spanish national, is a policy officer at the F1. REACH Unit of the Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, supporting the work of the unit in restrictions, authorisations and policy making.

Baskut Tuncak is the executive director of the Massachusetts Toxics Use Reduction Institute (TURI), an independent, state-level agency created in 1989 to prevent pollution and protect workers from hazardous substances.

Jan Ahlskog is a Senior Director with more than 30 years of experience in public affairs advising top global consumer goods companies; food, chemicals and mining industries; and high-tech and transport companies.

Cristina de Avila is Head of the Sustainable Chemicals Unit of the European Commission’s Environment Directorate-General, where she has been in charge of drafting the Commission’s Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability, currently focusing on its implementation.

Peter van der Zandt joined the European Chemicals Agency ECHA in 2019 as the Director for Risk Management, responsible for the ECHA work on REACH restrictions and authorisations as well as the Biocidal Products Regulation.

Jan is an applied chemist by background. She has been with A.I.S.E. since 2020, following more than twenty-five years in the coatings industry, including ten years at its European association in Brussels.

Jürgen is senior expert and team leader for international chemicals policy in the Safe and Sustainable Chemicals Unit of the Directorate-General for Environment at the European Commission.

Sonja Haider is a Senior Business and Investors Advisor at ChemSec, where she connects investors and chemical companies on sustainability issues. She has degrees in Banking Services and Operations and Fundraising Management.

Being part of the chemicals team at ClientEarth, Julian focuses on the implementation and reform of the EU chemicals regulation REACH. Tackling chemicals in product legislation, e.g. in connection with ecodesign, is another of his topics.

Matti is Professor of Practice in Green Transition at the University of Helsinki and member of the UK REACH Independent Scientific Expert Pool and Special Advisor in Fipra. In September 2023 he retired from ECHA having headed of risk management units on REACH authorisation application and restrictions processes and socio-economic analysis, including monetary values of reduced health risks. 

Dr Michael Warhurst has been Executive Director of CHEM Trust since July 2014, leading the organisation and working with his team and other NGOs to improve EU chemical policies such as REACH and chemicals in food contact materials.

Steven Van de Broeck is Executive Director Product Stewardship at Cefic. He leads the Product Stewardship team of Cefic overseeing the implementation and development of EU Chemicals regulations and policies. 

As senior expert in the European Commission, DG Internal Market, Industry, Enterprise and SMEs, REACH Unit Otto Linher deals with the implementation of the EU Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability and, in particular, the planned revision of the REACH Regulation.

Daniel Slunge, PhD, is the Director of the FRAM Centre at the University of Gothenburg, and the Policy Engagement Director of Environment for Development.

Since May 2022 Aurel has been director in charge of Circular Economy in the European Commission's Directorate General for Environment. Between January 2014 and April 2022 he worked as director in charge of enforcement, cohesion and the European Semester, in the same DG.

Rémi is Head of Unit Risk Management II at the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), responsible for the Applications for Authorisation process and Socio-Economic Analysis- and Substitution-related activities.

In 2001, Matthias became managing director of family-owned companies and plastic extrusion, hard chrome and hydrogen electrolysers became the focus of his life. In 2012, he joined VECCO, of which he has now been Chairman since 2016. In the same year, he took over the management of EUPOC and HAPOC.

Elke is Founder and CEO of Apeiron with over 20 years of experience in the chemical industry and consultancy and is a specialist in process engineering, environmental technology, chemical regulation and the circular economy.

Peter Simpson is an expert in the risk management of chemicals with over 20 years’ experience in consultancy and regulatory roles in the UK and EU and is a Senior Advisor at Rud Pedersen Public Affairs.

Rich joined CHEMTREC in 2019 and serves as the Director of International Business. With nearly 20 years of experience working with private and public sector organizations who have complex risk and compliance challenges, Rich is responsible for forming strategic partnerships with international accounts that interface into and out of the U.S.

Paweł is a Hazard Communication Manager within H2 Compliance, his MSc in Chemistry and 10+ years of experience as a DGSA enable him to help companies with their regulatory and SDS authoring challenges.

Kim joined Enhesa Product Intelligence in 2023 and is responsible for overseeing and developing analytical content, tools and training courses to assist the industry in navigating through complex compliance frameworks for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
