Digitalization of response: leveraging technology to better deal with current and emerging threats
Incidents, emergencies and crisis situations, whether involving a release of hazardous substances, incidents involving lithium-ion batteries, or a release of plastic pellets require a coordinated, multi-stakeholder response. According to CHEMTREC’s State of the Industry Survey, communication and coordination is the single biggest challenge faced by organizations.
This session highlights the importance of an interconnected ‘ecosystem’, providing a platform for shared planning and prevention and proactive emergency response. Plastic pellet spills, chemical releases and lithium-ion battery fires require a rapid activation of multiple teams and of multiple inter-connected procedures, and a need to create shared situational awareness. We explore the use of web-based tools that digitalize your transport documents, emergency response procedures and provide this activation and coordination to better protect your people, your assets, the environment as well as your and the industry’s reputation.
