Gain an essential overview of the TSCA Regulation

The Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) is the main federal industrial chemicals management regulation in the United States.  The act was amended in 2016 by the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act (LCSA).  The main objectives of the Act are to assess and regulate new commercial chemicals before they enter the market and to regulate existing chemicals that pose an 'unreasonable risk to human health or to the environment'.  The EPA will regulate the distribution and use of chemicals which are found to pose an unreasonable risk.
