Dr Sarah Hale is an expert on the environmental behaviour of organic pollutants, specifically persistent, mobile and toxic and very persistent and very mobile (PMT/vPvM) substances. She is a senior researcher at the German Water Centre (TZW) where her work within the ZeroPM research project (Zero pollution of persistent, mobile substances) aims to protect the environment and human health from PMT/vPvM substances. Work in ZeroPM interlinks prevention, prioritization and removal strategies, focusing on policy development, transition to safer alternatives, risk assessment and remediation.
