Elna Nilsson is a product requirement specialist in the chemistry team at IKEA of Sweden. Elna has worked with product safety and regulatory affairs for almost 20 years mainly focusing on EU REACH, CLP and BPR. She has supported various companies as a consultant at WSP Environmental and worked in the chemical industry at Perstorp AB. For the last six years Elna is part of the IKEA chemistry team which leads the proactive identification and establishment of needed product requirements and associated verification methods to ensure that all IKEA products are legally compliant on all relevant markets and safe to use from a chemical point of view. Elna has a PhD in chemical ecology and ecotoxicology from Lund University in Sweden.
