Ramesh Shamsul
Ramesh Shamsul is a chemical engineer by qualification (alumni of the University of Bradford). He obtained his Masters of Science in Occupational and Environmental Health (Industrial Hygiene) from the University of Iowa, United States, in 2010.
Mr Shamsul has been with the present agency since 1992 where industrial hygiene constitutes a major part of his activities, although he has working experience in occupational safety. He has been involved in various working committees drafting codes of practices and guidelines, among others, on personal protective equipment, confined space and chemical health risk assessment.
He has presented papers at international conferences and workshop and regularly speaks in seminars and courses, presenting topics on industrial hygiene such as on chemical safety management and local exhaust ventilation.
