Nidia Mariana Calvo Mendez joined Enhesa Product Intelligence's Expert Services team as Managing Analyst almost 3 years ago. She oversees regulatory content and service relating to products in the Americas, and coordinates the global analyst team from her base in Guadalajara, Mexico. Prior to joining Enhesa Product Intelligence, Nidia spent her career in industries conducting regulatory analysis and risk management mainly for Latin America. She also has experience in TSCA, GHS, performing audits, and obtaining ISO 140001 certification

My name is María Isabel Cárcamo, coordinator of Pesticides Action Network LA (RAPAL) - Uruguay since 2002, member of IPEN since 2004, and member of the Steering Committee. I have dedicated my work to addressing critical environmental challenges through collaborative approaches and innovative solutions that conduct to policy changes, at both national and international levels.

Ana is currently the Head of Regulatory Affairs and Product Safety for Latin America at Givaudan in the fragrance and beauty business. During the last few years, Ana has supported the Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs function at DuPont, Chemours and Oxiteno and graduated as an Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer with extensive experience in regulatory affairs, product safety, product administration and environment, health and safety.

Camila Boechat is an Environmental Analyst involved in discussions about national regulations and policies of chemical control. She has been working at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change for 19 years. She is a specialist in Environmental Law, and involved in discussions about strategies, regulations and policies of control and management of chemicals, in general. She is also responsible for dealing with the Minamata, Stockholm and Rotterdam Conventions. Currently, she serves as the General Coordinator of Chemical Substances, responsible for coordinating public policies aimed at the environmentally sound management of chemical in Brazil.

Professional with more than 10 years of experience in the public and private sector, in entities such as the Research Institute of the Peruvian Amazon (IIAP), the Environmental Evaluation and Enforcement Agency of Peru, Bureau Veritas Peru on issues of environmental quality and environmental liabilities of the hydrocarbons subsector; and currently, she works as a Specialist in Chemical Substances Management in the General Directorate of Environmental Quality of the Ministry of the Environment, in charge of the implementation of the Minamata Convention on Mercury, the Law on Integrated Management of Chemical Substances in Peru, and other international agreements for the management of chemicals and wastes. 

I have more than 15 years of professional experience in solid and hazardous waste management, wastewater, chemical management, thermal waste treatment, process safety and monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) of emissions and implementation of mitigation measures in the waste sector.  

Felipe Massardo is a senior associate at DLA Piper in Chile. He focuses his practice on energy and natural resources, especially project development, environmental analysis, and health-related matters. He advises clients in the energy, infrastructure, construction, transportation, and telecommunications sectors. In addition, Felipe is part of the regulated markets area, where he advises domestic and foreign clients from different industries on bidding processes, sanctioning procedures before different sectoral authorities, and litigation before specialized courts. 

Born and raised in Mexico, Melissa Owen is an international lawyer licensed in the U.S. who speaks Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, and English. Her knowledge of the cultural, language, and legal dimensions in both Latin America and the U.S. have made her uniquely suited to guide her multinational clients through the complex and rapidly changing world of environmental, sustainability, and health and safety matters in the region. She began her legal career in the environmental and international departments of a leading national U.S. law firm and then moved into private practice. For over 25 years, she has advised Fortune 100 companies as well as international trade associations on emerging chemical regulations, Circular Economy, Extended Producer Responsibility, product stewardship and a myriad of other regulatory topics. She is a recognized expert on ESG/EHS regulations in Latin America and a frequent speaker at international events about emerging chemical regulations.

Dan Bastien is a subject matter expert in Canada with specific experience in the Chemical Management Plan. Dan serves as Senior Director of the Chemicals Group at Intertek Health Sciences, Inc. In this role, he delivers business development expertise, expert advice and direction to clients who seek support in understanding and complying with a wide variety of global chemical control legislation and regulatory initiatives. He works closely with the Chemicals team of regulatory and scientific experts who help clients address challenging regulatory climates and demanding marketplaces, in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Mariana Larrea is a distinguished Mexican attorney with a specialization in Life Sciences, Cannabis, Pharmaceutical, Corporate/Contracts, and Consumer Protection. With a decade of professional experience, she has honed her skills at some of Mexico City's most influential law firms. Mariana earned her law degree and a diploma in business law from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), solidifying her expertise in efficiently delivering results to her clients across various legal domains. 

I obtained a bachelor's degree in Sanitation and Environment. I have a track record of 20 years of service in the Ministry of Health of Panama.

At present, I serve as Head of the Legislative and Regulatory Department at the Ministry of the Environment of Chile. In this capacity, I lead a multidisciplinary team of 12 professionals with expertise in key areas of Environmental Law, including climate change, circular economy and waste management, biodiversity and protected areas, emission and quality standards, decontamination and prevention plans, green taxation, among others.
