Introductory training session on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for packaging

This four hour introductory online training session will be delivered by Jordan Girling, WRAP’s Head of Extended Producer Responsibility and will provide you with a basic understanding of packaging EPR touching on high level examples in key regions.

The course will include an overview of packaging EPR frameworks, typical regulatory requirements that are placed on ‘producers’ (i.e., manufacturers, sellers, brand owners), how producers are expected to comply with EPR regulations in practice, and other miscellaneous EPR policy tools (e.g., the concept of eco-modulated EPR fees).

WRAP has extensive EPR expertise, in the UK and internationally. Jordan has over ten years’ experience of working with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) legislation in industry.  He has worked with all waste streams applicable to the EPR concept, as well as a range of industries that are subject to EPR requirements including tech, pharmaceuticals, medical, consumer goods, leisure, construction and agriculture.  He has provided EPR support to range of companies including LEGO, Caterpillar, Stryker and Versace.
