Understanding South Korea's biocides law – the K-BPR

Jaewoong has been a senior researcher at the National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER), Ministry of Environment in South Korea since 2005 and his research/academic background is about water chemistry for emerging contaminants fate and transport in environment. Currently, he is leading a team of biocidal active substances approval and particularly researching on the works with the human risk assessment of biocidal products in NIER under K-BPR.

Ji Yeong has a master degree in environmental engineering and experience in both EU and Korean chemicals and biocides regulations. This provides her with insights into the differences between both regulations and the needs for regulatory support of the respective industries.
