Covid-19 related derogations under the Biocidal Products Regulation

Camelia started her professional career at Cefic in 2009. Since 2016, she has led Biocides for Europe (B4E) where she actively follows the regulatory developments of the EU biocides legislation. She represents B4E in the various fora at EU level & provides support, information & advice to members in the area of compliance & implementation.

Ian holds a global Regulatory Sciences and Advocacy Management role in the Microbial Control business within the Specialty Products division of the DuPont Company. He has a career spanning more than 25 years in biocides, comprising Commercial Management and Regulatory and Product Stewardship functions. Ian is Chair of the CEFIC Sector Group, The European Biocidal Products Forum, EBPF.

Elodie is responsible for issues related to biocides and for providing support to A.I.S.E. members in implementing the BPR. She represents A.I.S.E. in various EU fora, including the Biocides Competent Authorities, Coordination Group, and ECHA Biocidal Products Committee.

Olivier is the deputy head of the office of Chemical Products, in charge of the regulation of pesticides (phytopharmaceutical products and biocides). His unit is the competent authority for the Biocidal Products Regulation, both at EU and national level. They work closely with the national evaluation agency Anses on all matters regarding biocides. He was formerly a policy advisor at the Directorate for Water and Biodiversity in charge of implementing the Water Framework Directive on all issues regarding chemical contamination of surface waters.

Klaus joined the European Commission in 1994 and is currently Head of Unit in the European Commission's Directorate-General Health and Food Safety, responsible for the implementation of the Pesticides and Biocides legislation. Before, he was Head of Unit in the European Commission’s Directorate-General Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship & SMEs, in charge of the implementation of the EU Regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).

Carrie has been with Sphera Solutions for more than 13 years. In her role as manager, regulatory content, she is responsible for the analysis and implementation of global chemical regulations into the Sphera Product Stewardship offerings and the web-based intelligent authoring training programme. She is the chair of the Global Regulatory Focus Group which is a monthly client-based forum where regulatory updates, issues and new system implementations are discussed.
