Martyn Shenton
Martyn has had technical and safety roles in the field of fluoropolymers and fluorochemistry with AGC Chemicals Europe, Ltd. for over 20 years. Over the last 3 years, Martyn has had an increasing focus on liaising with key global stakeholders to communicate on issues related to the regulation of fluorinated compounds. Martyn is a member of the Plastics Europe Fluoropolymer Product Group (FPG), an organization representing Europe’s leading fluoropolymer producers and experts, committed to promoting innovation, safe use, and sustainable manufacturing and stewardship across the industry for all their products. Martyn represents the fluorochemistry industry on CEN TC/248 WG 26 that develops analytical standards for textiles including PFAS content. Martyn holds a D.Phil. in Chemistry from the University of York, UK and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
