Paul Ellis
Paul has worked in retail industry for most of his career and now advises the Board of HaZel regarding sustainability with a focus on chemical regulations and sustainable chemical management. Previously he worked for Kingfisher as Head of Sustainable Chemicals Management Offer and Supply Chain Sustainability, where he was accountable for the development and implementation of the Kingfisher approach to managing unregulated chemicals, where he and his team developed the “phase out road map and target to introduce 5 green chemical’s or materials by 2025)
He was a member of the Retail leadership council (RLC) , within the US based, Green Chemistry and Commerce council (GC3), (now known as Change Chemistry) alongside other global retailers. He also chaired EDRA’s product compliance committee and played active roles in other organisations, such as the BRC - British Retail Consortium. Paul retired due to ill health, but has continued his passion for change, by focusing his efforts in influencing retailers and brands to take greater responsibility on chemicals used in their supply chains.
