Salmaan is the Head, Product Stewardship and Toxicology, Group Health, Safety, Security and Environment at PETRONAS. He is also a Professor Adjunct, Department of Environmental Health Sciences, Yale School of Public Health.
Salmaan obtained a PhD in Biochemical Toxicology from Leicester University in 1997 and is an American Board Certified Toxicologist, Eurotox Registered Toxicologist and Fellow of the Academy of Sciences, Malaysia. Furthermore, Salmaan is the Chair for the IPIECA GHS Task Force and Director of the International Union of Toxicology Education Committee.
