Effy Ji is a senior regulatory specialist in the food contact practice area. She has more than 10 years’ experience in food contact analysis and compliance. Effy is mainly focused on China food-related product petitions for new substances intended to be used in food contact materials and articles, China food contact compliance including formulation review and compliance testing, as well as application for authorization of recycle plastics materials used in food contact material. She, with technical expertise and project experience, provides regulatory consulting and compliance solutions to clients worldwide.

Junho Lee is a Director at CIRS Group Korea and has 18 years of international experience specializing in the field of chemical regulations, standards and certifications in Korea, China and Europe. He has supported industry on major chemical regulatory updates around the world starting with EU REACH, and now Korea’s K-REACH.

Sok-Han gains her industry experience as an independent regulatory affairs consultant, with a focus on Japan, South Korea and other Asian markets. She serves as a conduit between the Japanese market and the rest of the world, assisting industry in navigating through complex compliance frameworks. Her specialty is in food and beverage, food contact, health supplement and cosmetic products. Sok-Han is a fluent speaker of Cantonese, Japanese, Korean and Mandarin.

Chen Hu provides assistance to foreign and domestic clients in the area of food, food packaging, and chemical control, in matters related to regulatory compliance in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and other Asian countries.

Wen-Gie has an MBA in Sustainability & Leadership/BSc in Biology & Chemistry along with 22 years experience in the chemical industry in the areas of product safety & regulatory affairs, and safety health, environment & quality management, manufacturing and engineering.

For over 15 years, Esther has navigated the complex world of quality, regulatory, and compliance across diverse industries. From medical devices to specialized nutrition, this journey has been characterized by continuous learning and growth. Her latest focus lies in food contact materials—a critical aspect of specialized nutrition. As a gatekeeper, she stands at the intersection of innovation and safety. Collaborating closely with R&D teams and manufacturing plants, she ensures that food contact materials comply with EU, China (GB) or local regulations. It’s a role that demands attention to detail and a deep understanding of chemical composition in packaging.

Inezia Aurelia is a highly experienced professional with over 19 years in the Chemical and Life Science industry. Currently, she leads the Regulatory Management and Trade Compliance team in Southeast Asia at Merck Chemicals and Life Sciences, where she ensures product and trade compliance to secure smooth business operations. With more than 15 years of extensive expertise in product regulatory compliance across Southeast Asia and the Asia Pacific region, Inezia is dedicated to ensuring adherence to industry standards and navigating complex regulatory landscapes.
