The 10th Symposium focusing on the authorisation of biocidal products within the Biocidal Product Regulation
This year’s Biocides Symposium takes place in Rome on 23-24 May 2019. It is now more than five years since the BPR came into force, however, the European legal framework for biocides is still proving challenging and dynamic with new issues flaring up as others are resolved. Current hot topics, such as the criteria for identifying endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) and Brexit, provide new impetus for debate and guidance.
The Biocides Symposium brings together leading figures from industry, service providers and regulatory authorities, including the European Commission and the European Chemicals Agency (Echa). Through presentations, panel discussions and Q&As, this line-up of experts will examine authorisation procedures, risk assessment questions and pressing developments that are impacting on those working with and under the BPR.
The Symposium offers an opportunity to discuss the impact of the BPR on small enterprises and supply chains and share advice on how to manage the challenges of this legal framework.
