2019 conference highlights
Chemical Watch’s Biocides Europe 2019 conference took place on 3-4 December in Vienna, and welcomed over 230 professionals from across Europe to hear the latest advice and guidance on Europe’s Biocidal Products Regulation and other developments affecting the biocides industry.
The one-day event welcomed 34 speakers from leading organisations including the European Commission, Echa, the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment, Knoell, Brenntag and the Swedish Water and Waste Water Association.
Key topics that were covered include:
- BPR procedures;
- regulatory issues for authorisation/approval related processes;
- status ED assessments for biocides;
- the impact and challenges of the BPR;
- biocides topics overlapping with other legislation;
- enforcement of biocides;
- sustainability of biocides and circular economy; and,
- testing and modelling.
